Our campus in Carlsberg Byen

Explore the ESCPH campus in Carlsberg Byen. Our modern facilities are designed to support our international learning environment – including multiple science labs, music rooms, art rooms, and sports facilities.

European School Copenhagen is located in the Carlsberg neighbourhood in the heart of the city.

Our campus is close to green spaces and cultural landmarks, and is easily accessible by public transport, bicycle, and on foot.

State-of-the-Art Learning Facilities

Our campus is divided into two school buildings that together form a modern learning environment. The first building houses our Primary department and the After School Care, and the second building houses our Secondary and Upper Secondary departments.

At the heart of the campus is a shared canteen, where our Primary, Secondary, and Upper Secondary students meet. The canteen provides healthy lunches and a welcoming social space, helping to build a strong community across age groups and language sections.

On campus, you’ll also find brand new science laboratories, a large PE hall with extensive sports equipment, a large multi-story playground with ball cages, and dedicated music and art rooms.

Construction of our campus

The school building was constructed by BAM Denmark in cooperation with Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects, Nord Architects and the consulting engineers EKJ, with interior design by JJW Architects. The result is a contemporary educational environment that supports modern pedagogy, collaboration and inclusive learning.

The project was financed by the City of Copenhagen, Realdania, the Novo Nordisk Foundation, the Nordea Foundation and the Danish Industry Foundation.
