Taking part in an exchange is a fantastic way to grow, both personally and academically. Not only will you improve your language skills, but you’ll also become more independent as you navigate a new school and a different cultural environment. You'll gain plenty of new experiences, make new friends, and broaden your horizons.
If you are a new student in S5 (1.g), you should apply for the mobility programme at the same time as you apply for the school.
What is the mobility programme?
The mobility programme is an exchange programme between the European Schools. It gives students who are currently in S4 the possibility to spend the whole first semester of S5 at another European School or an accredited European School – and vice versa.
Students go on exchange from September until Christmas break, including exams at the host school. They are hosted by local families speaking the country’s language. Usually, in return, their families host a student from another European School.

For current S4 students
You must complete the online application form. Form will be available in November 2026.

For new S5 students
You can access the application form and annexes in the resource box below. Form will be available in November 2026.

Please complete the application form by 8 January 2027.
Step 2
Send the following documents to our coordinator, Ronja Legrand, via email at C609@kk.dk.
- Annexes 2 and 3
- Your latest report card from your current institution
- Official record of your absence rate for the 2026–27 school year. The documentation must include the specific dates, the total absence rate expressed as a percentage, and a signature and stamp from the school principal
- A signed recommendation letter/statement from your current school. This letter must be signed by both the writer and the school principal
